Following a meeting at the Lord Culpeper Hotel on February 21, 1954, a temporary chairman was appointed, and the groundwork for establishing the club began. In March of the same year, the Tolson family donated a 58-acre tract of land to the Culpeper Country Club, Inc., marking the club's official inception.

The club offers tennis courts, a swimming pool, and other recreational activities such as cornhole and paddleball. It includes a restaurant, ballroom, living room with a fireplace, card room, and fitness center.
