The Harlem Arts Foundation is dedicated to artistic, cultural and economic Sustainability and is ideally positioned for building coalitions rooted in the arts. Engaging development to Harlem's arts landscape, our projects involve local residents, center on capacity building and provide alternatives for inspiration, such as the Harlem Biennale (HB) conceived to promote tourism, animate public and private spaces, rejuvenate structures and streetscapes, enhance local businesses and bring diverse people together to delight and find new meaning in the arts. Our goal is to showcase Harlem’s legacy as a platform and lens to strategically create opportunities through the arts. Our public art campaign "Immigrants Are US: The (G)eneration Project" is our current and most urgent initiative.
