Today is Menstrual Hygiene Day, and the theme this year is 'Together for a #PeriodFriendlyWorld'. We are committed to ensuring that menstruation (which impacts 50% of our population for a number of years) doesn't limit access to education, health or opportunities. We strive to live in a world where there are NO stigma and taboos related to menstruation. This year, we supported the passage of a bill in Tennessee to provide menstrual hygiene products in Tennessee public high schools in support of a #PeriodFriendlyWorld, and while the bill passed, it was not included in the budget. Legislative solutions like this one address important issues in our community in an transformative way, and we will be working hard to ensure that this bill is included in the upcoming budget.
