We join the international community in tribute to First Lady Rosalynn Carter, who was a friend and inspiration to Go Global NC. On a warm afternoon in 1979, Rosalynn Carter came to Raleigh to celebrate our very first citizen exchange. With enthusiasm and great cheer, she congratulated our group of 250 North Carolinians setting off for Newcastle, England, to experience another culture and build bonds of friendship between our two countries.
