The West Texas Dancing Raiderettes, also known as the WTDR Dance Company, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Lubbock, Texas. The organization is dedicated to promoting high self-esteem, determination, persistence, high academic achievement, community involvement, sisterhood, brotherhood, and the importance of health in young individuals between the ages of 4 and 18 through the art of dance and education.

Mission and Activities

The mission of the West Texas Dancing Raiderettes is to empower young women and men by fostering a supportive environment that encourages personal growth and community engagement. The organization offers a variety of dance styles, including ballet, modern, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, and majorette dancing. Achievements

WTDR has been recognized for its excellence in dance competitions. In the years 2019, 2021, and 2022, the company was ranked Division I by the American Dance/Drill Team Association and received Sweepstakes awards. Additionally, at the ADDT Nationals Competition, they secured notable positions, including 1st Runner-Up in the Hip Hop category and 2nd Runner-Up in the Contemporary and Jazz categories.
