Kayser Animal Rescue Effort
Kayser Animal Rescue Effort (KARE) was founded in 2014 by a veterinarian and her husband to provide life saving intervention for animals in need. Rescue is our passion. It is in our DNA. We eagerly jump on every opportunity to save an animal. When we cruise past a stray without a collar, we stop the car and get out. We're not “just keep on driving" people. We're “run across the highway" people. Our life is built around animals. Our ranch, located just outside of San Antonio, has a treatment room with attached dog kennel, a cat room, horses, cattle, and twin boys.Though we occasionally work with rescues from our local animal control, most of the dogs and cats we find are picked up ourselves off the streets and highways of San Antonio and surrounding areas. For each animal, we are with them the whole way, providing medical care, fostering, snuggling, and rehoming (primarily in the northeast). We like to think of ourselves as a one stop shop for animal rescue. We are incorporated in Texas and a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
