The Military Council of Catholic Women – Worldwide, Inc

For 60 years, The Military Council of Catholic Women - Worldwide, Inc. has provided leader development training and faith formation for military-affiliated women - active duty, family members and retirees - around the world. Founded in 1955 on a US Army installation in Germany to support military chapels abroad, MCCW has since built women's ministry groups on installations throughout the world and in all five branches of the U.S. Armed Forces. Today, MCCW has a regional coordinator in each of sixworldwide regions: within the United States in the Pacific, West, Central, Southeast and Northeast; and outside the United States in Europe.MCCW serves as a vital enhancement to the faith life of military women and the work done by military chaplains through: o Retreats and Conferences: Regional retreats, days of reflection, and conferences foster and nourish the faith of our Catholic women. Held in various locations in each of MCCW's regions, participants are immersed in praise, worship and ministry; and return to their homes inspired to continue their work for Christ.o MCCW Journey of Faith Training: Journey of Faith educational programs are offered at retreats and conferences and are also available as a "traveling program" that visits individual chapels for in-house training. The modular program addresses topics of spirituality, the Catholic faith and leader development, enhancing the many ministries in our chapel communities.o Resource Development: MCCW's website, conference materials, Bible study guides and training manuals are provided at no cost to often resource-strapped military chapels.Since 2012, MCCW-Worldwide has been a non-profit subsidiary of the Archdiocese of Military Services (AMS). This partnership is helping MCCW to increase its reach to an ever-growing number of military-affiliated women as well as others served by the Archdiocese.
