HISTORIC HEMET THEATRE
The Historic Hemet Theatre Foundation is dedicated to the acquisition, renovation and operation of the Historic Hemet Theatre (HHT) as a community arts center.Events hosted include concerts, films, live theatre, fundraisers for local nonprofits and educational programs. The HHT project has three key impacts: 1) historic preservation of a 1921 movie house (one of the oldest in the nation); 2) cultural enrichment through performing arts and educational programming; and 3) economic revitalization of Hemet's historic downtown district.In addition, the HHT project is having a tremendous impact on "community spirit." Volunteers, sponsors and patrons coming together to make a difference in their community.
