Lovingly Rescuing & Rehabilitating Draft Horses Adopt, Foster, Donate, Volunteer, Educate Connecticut Draft Horse Rescue, Inc. is an all volunteer 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of draft horses that were bound for slaughter in addition to draft horses that are victims of starvation, neglect or abuse or whose owners are unable to provide for their needs.

CT Draft Horse Rescue The moment a draft horse steps into CDHR their whole life changes. We are the new beginning for draft horses who have been neglected abused or surrendered by their owners and desperately need help. Too often they come to us broken in spirit and without a safe home. Sometimes they come to us heartbroken grieving the loss of their human partner and longtime home.
