DC Anime Club is a 509(a) (1) nonprofit organization dedicated to educate people in the Washington D.C. area about East Asian Culture through Japanese animation DC Anime Club is an non for profit organization whose purpose is to educate people in Washington,DC. For club meetings check http://www.dcanimeclub.org DC Anime Club was established in June 5, 2003 to introduce and educate people in the Washington, DC area about East Asian culture, through viewing and discussion of Japanese animation (also known as anime) , Japanese comics (manga) and Fandom. We also work to provide a positive, alternative activity to the youth in the area by exposing them to foreign culture, encouraging artistic expression and creativity, and providing opportunities for participation in community activities and leadership.
