CASA Volunteers Directly Impact Childrenx27s Lives All children in Douglas County Kansas thrive in safe nurturing and permanent homes. We train volunteers to speak up for kids in the Douglas County KS child welfare system. Court Appointed Special Advocates are volunteers trained and supported by our staff Supervisors to advocate for children who have experienced abuse or neglect and are under the protection of the court.
