Newport Banning Land Trust

As the conservation partner of Newport Banning Ranch, the Newport Banning Land Trust will conserve and steward the natural open space preserve for the benefit of native species, and for the enjoyment by the public. Through an innovative land use and conservation project, Newport Banning Ranch is establishing an approximately 280-acre nature preserve. NBLT's stewardship will include nurturing the conservation of rare habitats and a diverse range of native species while providing the public an opportunity to enjoy and learn about natural Orange County. Successful implementation of this vision will also help bring to life a significant portion of the long-envisioned Orange Coast River Park. Our Values are as follows: * Support implementation of a professionally designed plan for restoration, creation, preservation and maintenance of suitable habitat. * Collaborate with public land managers, environmental stakeholders and local governments to ensure that the natural and open space within Newport Banning Ranch is managed in an integrated regional vision. * Provide new trail connections, signage and public access to natural lands, public parks and beaches. * Provide educational and interpretative programs for the public on the Newport Banning Ranch lands. * Ensure that the Newport Banning Ranch helps improve water quality through the implementation of a comprehensive water quality plan. * Secure a long-term funding stream to support the conservation, stewardship and public access on the Newport Banning Ranch natural and open space lands.
