Western Center for Defense Advocacy, (wecda.org) is a nonprofit (501 (c) (3) organization dedicated to providing equal access to justice by providing a myriad of advocacy services to those individuals whose lives are impacted by the Federal Criminal Justice System. Our mission is bridge the gap to equal access to the courts to those individuals who are seeking postconviction relief. We do this by providing of meaningful, affordable litigation support services to the federally incarcerated individuals who are generally pro se filers. We also provide technical consulting to defense counsel litigating habeas petitions. We provide services on a low bono, often pro bono or sliding scale fee basis depending on the economical situation. No one is turned away due to economics.
