Engine No9 is home! Our Curator Joe Breeze and the “Friends of No9” have spent the last seven years restoring the last surviving engine of the Mt. Tamalpais & Muir Woods Railway. In service during the 1920s, Engine No9 played a vital role in Marin’s early tourism industry. Through thousands of volunteer hours, a new throttle lever (custom-built by Mark Norstad at @paragonmachine ), and a whole lot of heart, the beloved machine is ready for debut.
