Society For The Psychological Study of Social Issues
An association of psychologists, allied scientists, and others applying research on important social issues to public policy. Questions/Comments? E-mail spssi@spssi.org Through its many programs and activities-- which include publication of three academic journals (Journal of Social Issues; Analyses of Social Issues and Public Policy, and Social Issues and Policy Review), bi-annual conventions, joint sponsorship with the European Association of Experimental Social Psychologists of annual conferences in Europe and North America,and special programming at APA's Annual Convention --SPSSI affords social and behavioral scientists opportunities to share their research and apply their findings and insights to the critical problems of today's world. Research on social issues is fostered through SPSSI sponsorship of several annual award, fellowship, and grant programs. With United Nations NGO status, SPSSI serves as consultant to the Economic and Social Council of the UN.
