Founded in 1991, a 501(c)3 community-based organization, that provides trusted leadership and successful solutions around the issues of youth violence. Groundbreaking nonprofit prevents youth violence and builds safer communities in the DC Metro area and beyond. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., the ACM provides lasting solutions for building and re-building communities, strengthening families, and improving public safety and public health. The mission of the Alliance of Concerned Men is to change the attitudes and value systems of children, youth and adults who are at-risk by promoting and teaching independence, positive life skills, and beneficial survival techniques to help them re-join the mainstream of American life. The organization targets and transforms communities plagued by violence, drugs, and gangs and then provides economic alternatives by building innovative coalitions with various government agencies and civic organizations.
