Delta Alpha Zeta was excited to be apart of the hugely successful and historical Brooklyn Borough President candidates forum, hosted by the sororities of the Divine nine. Our Madam President, @heather718deleon as a member of the Social Action team, asked an insightful question pertaining to women’s maternal health, mortality and data tracking. Delta Alpha Zeta is proud to be consistently active in the areas of Social Action and Civic engagement. Madam President has had the opportunity to work with the current Borough President Antonio Reynoso @bkbpreynoso on his maternal health initiatives (Chapter members featured at community baby shower), as well as supporting Khari Edwards, @khariedwardsnyc who is an an active community advocate & Founder of the “It Starts Here” program, which forges meaningful connections between students and gun violence survivors, mobilizing community action to combat disparities.
