St. Margaret's House
Creating Community. Changing Lives. A safe and caring day haven for women and children, St. Margaret's House is a day center committed to the gospel value of hospitality as reflected in Matthew 25: "I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me…" (Matthew 25: 35-36) St. Margaret's House improves the lives of women and children by providing individual attention to their immediate needs, breaking the bonds of isolation, and helping them acquire skills to better their lives. Through a philosophy of shared ownership in St. Margaret's House, guests become empowered by participating in planning and decision making.
