TO PROMOTE THE ENJOYMENT & INVOLVEMENT IN THE GAME OF GOLF AND TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE GROWTH OF THE GOLF PROFESSIONAL AND THE GOLF INDUSTRY. THE GEORGIA SECTION WILL ACCOMPLISH THIS MISSION BY ENHANCING THE SKILLS OF THE GOLF PROFESSIONALS AND PROMOTING THE OPPORTUNITIES FOR AMATEURS, MANUFACTURERS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC. AS A RESULT, THE GEORGIA SECTION WILL ELEVATE THE STANDARDS OF THE PROFESSIONAL GOLFERS VOCATION, STIMULATE INTEREST IN THE GAME OF GOLF, AND PROMOTE THE OVERALL VITALITY OF THE GAME.

Its membership includes over 950 PGA Professionals working at over 260 golf courses clubs and ranges throughout the state. Additionally more than 20 Georgia PGA members compete on one of the PGA Tours. In keeping with the fundamental objectives laid down by its founders one of the Georgia PGAs primary goals is promoting the game of golf through clinics junior and minority golf programs consumer programs and print and television media.
