Save Kids Trust

In 2010, Save Kids Trust set its 20,000 in 2020 goal, to provide healthcare to 20,000 people by the year 2020. That ambitious goal has been met through the three clinics in Jaipur! Now Save Kids Trust is looking forward to expanding our impact in the next decade. The Save Kids Trust model of local, trusted clinics is tested and effective and the need for more clinics in Jaipur is acute. To support further growth, funding is needed to run the existing programs, to pay Dr. Sharwan a salary to enable his full-time focus on Save Kids Trust, and to open and operate additional clinics. Our desire is to open a new clinic each year for the next 10 years.

Save Kids Trust

Save Kids Trust is a nonprofit organization focused on improving the lives of children and their families through healthcare and education. The organization was founded by Dr. Sharwan Saini, who experienced firsthand the struggles of marginalized communities in India, particularly in his home state of Rajasthan.

Background and Work

Dr. Sharwan Saini was inspired to pursue medicine at a young age after his mother's inability to receive medical care due to financial constraints. Despite facing numerous challenges, he completed medical school in Russia and returned to India to work in healthcare. He began offering free tuberculosis treatments in informal housing settlements near his workplace in Jaipur, laying the groundwork for Save Kids Trust.

Initially, Save Kids Trust operated "pop-up" medical clinics in New Delhi before shifting its focus to Jaipur. In 2012, the organization opened its first full-time medical clinic in the same area where Dr. Saini had begun his work with tuberculosis patients. This clinic has grown significantly, serving over 10,000 people. By 2020, Save Kids Trust had expanded to include three clinics in Jaipur, achieving its goal of providing ongoing medical care to a large number of people.

Mission and Operations

The mission of Save Kids Trust is to assist children and their families by addressing current medical needs and enhancing family health over generations. This is achieved through education, nutritional assistance, and vocational support. Save Kids Trust operates primarily in India, with a focus on underprivileged communities.

In 2020, Save Kids Trust USA was established as a 501(c)(3) corporation to support the growth of Save Kids Trust India. This U.S. entity is dedicated to developing partnerships and resources to aid the Indian operations.

Governance and Recognition

Save Kids Trust India is recognized as a Public Charitable Social Trust by the Indian government and is the operational hub of the organization. Save Kids Trust USA serves as the funding and administrative center, working to expand support for the Indian operations.

Impact and Vision

Save Kids Trust aims to empower future generations by providing essential healthcare and educational services. The organization's efforts have been instrumental in improving the quality of life for thousands of underprivileged families in India. Through its work, Save Kids Trust strives to create lasting positive change in the communities it serves.
