Our goal is to save dogs of California from unnecessary sheltering and euthanasia due to overcrowded and underfunded shelters. As a foster-based organization we rescue, rehabilitate, and offer respite for vulnerable and homeless dogs. UAR saves all breeds, sizes, ages, colors, the imperfect, and the special needs. Through advocacy we educate the public to work towards a better future for dogs.

We have dedicated our efforts to giving a second chance to the dogs that are most in need medically or behaviorally and the dogs that have been overlooked for too long. We are a foster based rescue which means we do not have a shelter facility.
