Children's TLC
The mission of Children's TLC is to provide therapeutic and educational services for children with disabilities in an environment which fosters their independence and celebrates their successes.Children's TLC provides early therapeutic and educational services for young children with disabilities, development delays and the medically fragile. Our goal is to assist the children in developing their full potential in order to prepare them to be successful in their next educational environments. We serve children age birth through age eight. Academic instruction, social work, nursing and therapeutic treatments are integrated to enhance and support each child's growth and development. Each child enrolled at Children's TLC has an individualized program designed to meet his or her unique learning needs. Therapeutic treatments may consist of Physical, Occupational, Speech Language, and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy. Teachers and therapists set high expectations for each child and then do everything they can to help the children achieve their potential. All these services are offered through the Therapeutic Preschool Program, the Therapy Clinic and Community Based Services. We serve approximately 300 children annually through the multiple programs offered. Approximately 75 are served in the therapeutic preschool program. The children and families served reside in the greater Kansas City metropolitan area, including Cass, Clay, Jackson, and Platte counties in Missouri and Johnson and Wyandotte Counties in Kansas.
