Providing our neighbors with fire and rescue services as well as community events. The Orangeburg Fire Department is fully staffed by volunteers The Orangeburg Volunteer Fire Association Inc. (hereinafter referred to as the “OVFA”) is organized to operate exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Within such limits, the OVFA extinguishes and prevent fires and conflagrations, as well as provide rescue services within the Orangeburg Fire District and in any other area which the OVFA contracts for protection, and within any area as permitted by law if so requested or under mutual aid agreement or other contract to do so. The OVFA recruits and retains members, conducts fire prevention and life safety education for the community, hosts community events, and may purchase equipment, in accordance with the Not-for-Profit Association Law of the State of New York
