We continue to share heartfelt stories from our teams and the melanoma survivors, angels, and warriors they honor. Today, we’re honored to share a touching tribute to Jim Gillespie, whose spirit lives on through the love of his family and friends and their team, 'You Gotta Have Faith. For several years, Jim Gillespie’s family travel has traveled from Northwest Ohio to Pittsburgh to participate in the Pittsburgh Melanoma 5K as team ‘You Gotta Have Faith.’ Jim passed away on June 13, 2012, but his legacy of love, laughter, and strong Christian faith continues to inspire everyone who knew him. He was a devoted husband, proud father and grandfather, a caring member of his extended family, and a friend to many. Jim had a gift for making people feel heard and welcome—whether he was helping others, building something with his hands, or simply sharing a story (or a joke). “You Gotta Have Faith” isn’t just a team name—it’s how Jim lived. His deep faith in God guided every part of his life and remains a source of strength for his family. Each step we take in this race is a tribute to Jim’s spirit, his fight, and the love he poured into the world. (fb)
