Coopers Rock Mountain Lion Sanctuary
Coopers Rock Mountain Lion Sanctuary, founded in 1998, grew out of the need to provide a safe place for abused and neglected mountain lions (cougars) to live. CRMLS is located on 170 remote acres deep in the Appalachian Mountains in West Virginia. We are comprised entirely of volunteers that help with the rescues and with construction of new enclosures. Additional, a great deal of CRMLS's efforts is directed at educating the public about the plight of these large cats.
