Congratulations to Isaac Grogg for receiving the 𝐉𝐞𝐟𝐟 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩, totaling $1,100! 👏 The scholarship was established in 2016 to honor the son of Anne and Dean Stonebraker. This scholarship is awarded to Huntington County residents attending Jeff’s alma mater, Indiana University, with a preference for those majoring in business. Isaac is graduating from Huntington North High School and plans to attend Indiana University Bloomington to pursue a degree in Finance with a minor in Environmental Science. 📊 He is the son of Roxann and Jeremy Grogg. Isaac is a member of Huntington North Boys' Varsity Basketball and Varsity Tennis teams, participates in the Huntington North Green Team, is starting a recycling system at Huntington North as a community service project, and recently received the Rotary Youth Leadership Award. We are pleased to announce that Ella McDaniel is the 2025 recipient of 𝐉𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐏. 𝐖𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐍𝐇𝐒 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩, totaling $2,000 renewable up to four years! 🎉 Ella is graduating from Huntington North High School and plans to pursue a degree in Biology and Pre-Physician Assistant Studies at Trine University. 🩺 She is the daughter of Christine Swinehart and the stepdaughter of Adam Swinehart. She is a dedicated member of the band and winter percussion ensemble where she serves as a section leader and center snare drummer, participates in National Honor Society, is an ISSMA State gold medalist for Solo and Ensemble and volunteers for the Huntington County Humane Society. This meaningful scholarship was established in 2023 by Sam & Brenda Wright to honor USMC Sgt. Jackson Payne Wright’s remarkable life. 🙌 Jackson is remembered as a beloved son, brother and devoted friend to all. While at HNHS, Jackson was an accomplished student at the honors level—all while balancing cross country and track along with band and saxophone involvements. Jackson touched an astounding number of lives during his short twenty-two years on earth and this scholarship celebrates Jackson’s competitive spirit, high academic achievement and love of music.
