Legal Aid's mission is, "improving the lives of those in need through quality legal assistance." Our staff fulfills this mission by representing low-income residents in civil matters related in which the client's physical safety, their access to healthcare or housing or their ability to support themselves is at risk. Legal Aid provides free legal assistance to people who need it most and can afford it least, including people who are elderly, have permanent disabilities, or are homeless, survivors of domestic abuse, families with children, the working poor, new immigrants and other vulnerable residents.
