IN ADDITION TO THE FOREGOING, THE CORPORATION HAS MULTIPLE CHARITABLE AND EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES, INCLUDING: TO EDUCATE AND PROMOTE INCREASED AWARENESS AND INTEREST AMONG MEDICAL STUDENTS, RESIDENTS AND OTHER HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS IN ACADEMIC MEDICINE AS A CAREER AND TO SOLICIT AND PROVIDE INFORMATION, FINANCIAL AND OTHER ASSISTANCE TO INTERESTED CANDIDATES WITH A FINANCIAL NEED TO ENABLE THEM TO FURTHER EXPLORE AND POTENTIALLY EMBARK ON A CAREER IN ACADEMIC MEDICINE AND OTHER HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONS.

LGBTQ Health Workforce Conference The LGBT Health Workforce Conference is the largest and most well known national LGBT health workforce conference in the United States held annually in New York City. The conference provides an overview of uptodate practices climate educational research and clinical in preparing the health care workforce to address the health concerns and disparities of lesbian gay bisexual and transgender LGBT communities. BNGAP Chapters BNGAP Chapters are part of the Building the Next Generation of Academic Physicians BNGAP program which helps diverse medical students and residents become aware of academic medicine as a career option.
