Bees do more than make honey—they keep our ecosystems alive. As essential pollinators they help ensure food security, biodiversity, and resilience in nature. But they need our protection too. In Kenya’s Naboisho Conservancy, the Naboisho Women’s Group is leading the way. Through sustainable beekeeping, they support their families, protect pollinators, and preserve the landscapes we all depend on. With support from Great Plains Conservation camps in the Maasai Mara, their honey is shared with guests—creating a powerful micro-economy rooted in community, conservation, and care. Rangers on the Run! This past weekend, six of our incredible Great Plains rangers took on the 21.1 km Diacore Gaborone Half Marathon—and crossed the finish line with pride, strength, and personal bests. Their preparation didn’t happen overnight. In the months leading up to the race, the rangers worked consistently—balancing demanding field duties with runs of varying lengths and intensities, strength training, and mobility work. These rangers showed us what true dedication looks like. Every kilometre was more than just a physical challenge—it was a reflection of the mental and emotional strength they bring to the front lines of conservation every single day.
