The HWM is a decorative and fine arts museum located in the heart of the Bluegrass. Opened in 1968 by George Headley, a noted jewelry designer. The Headley-Whitney Museum of Art is a decorative and fine arts museum founded by prominent jewelry designer, George W. Headley III. The mission of the Headley-Whitney Museum of Art shall be to enrich the life of the whole community by fostering knowledge,enjoyment and appreciation of the decorative and fine arts.
