IBEW Local 2304 IBEW Local 2304 WHO WE ARE IBEW Local 2304primarily represents the skilled labor force at Madison Gas and Electric a small investor owned gas and electric utility serving Madison and southcentral Wisconsin. Since 1937 nearly all of the people who do the physical work at MGE serving our community with safe and reliable gas and electric service have been union members. First organized as Gas Workers in 1937 and then into the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers in 1970 we have been determining the wages benefits and working conditions at MGE that we strive to make some of the best in the utility industry. IBEW Local 2304 also represents the professional staff members of Madison Teachers Inc.
