Since 1964, Neighborhood Legal Services Program of the District of Columbia has been providing free civil legal services to DC's low-income residents. NLSP provides free civil legal services to DC's most vulnerable residents. Neighborhood Legal Services Program (NLSP) is a non-profit law firm that has been providing free civil legal services to low-income residents of the District of Columbia since 1964. We preserve safe and affordable shelter, stabilize family relationships, protect victims of domestic violence, secure access to healthcare and public benefits and reduce barriers to employment for our clients. As we protect fundamental necessities for individuals and families, we also seek opportunities to achieve broader change and pathways out of poverty for many.
