Our MissionTo enhance the historic charm of downtown Monroe while encouraging diverse commerce, tourism and an increased sense of community utilizing the National Trust Main Street Approach.Our VisionThe DMA strives to promote activities, restoration and vibrancy that reflect and enhance the foundation of our downtown community. Downtown Monroe Association (DMA) focus is the downtown historic area of Monroe.Programs follow the National Main Street approach for preservation-based economic development for local initiatives to revitalize downtown by leveraging local assets—from cultural or architectural heritage to local enterprises and community pride.The four points of the Main Street approach work together to build a sustainable and complete community revitalization effort.
