The Kitten Distribution System Strikes Again! 😺🚛 What started as a routine Monday for City of Thomasville employee, Willie, turned into a rescue mission he didn’t see coming. After a trip to the landfill, Willie discovered a tiny, terrified kitten clinging to the inside of his truck bed. The kitten, scared and defensive, hissed and scratched as Willie tried to help—but he wasn’t giving up that easily. Instead, he brought the little stowaway straight to us at Thomasville Humane. Our Executive Director jumped into action (literally!) and was able to safely secure the kitten, who is now safe, sound, and settling in under our care. We’re happy to report that this lucky little guy is healthy and will be available for adoption in the coming weeks. Great News—Wally is Home! 🏡 ❤️ After nearly a month in our care, sweet Wally has finally been reunited with his family, and their reunification moment was nothing short of magical. Wally was found wandering the Walmart parking lot and despite his finder's best efforts of finding his owner, no one came forward, and he was surrendered to us. With his cuddly personality and loving eyes, we just knew someone had to be missing him. But with no hits in the lost and found pages, no reports from Animal Services, and no microchip, we had started to lose hope, and placed Wally up for adoption. That all changed yesterday when a visitor spotted him on our website and stopped by the shelter. The moment he saw her, Wally was bursting with excitement, and it was clear to us that this was his person. ❤️ Wally is now back home where he belongs—and this time, with a microchip to ensure he's never lost again.
