At the Mississippi Gulf Coast Rainbow Center, our mission is to cultivate positive unity of the LGBTQ community in South Mississippi. Our mission is to bring a sense of unity to the LGBT community here in South Mississippi by bringing about a welcome and open environment in which to share our struggles and know that we are not alone. This mission is enacted through providing resources to our community members on a case by case basis, in which any and all needs met which can not be provided by us are directed to the proper organization and/or establishment. Resources provided have been and continue to be accumulated by maintaining a constant collaboration with our other local and statewide organizations, as well as national services. Our goal is to, one day soon, have our own place where LGBT people can come from all around in times of need and sorrow to be greeted with love and joy; to make life in Mississippi for LGBT people better, to present a place that we all can call home and a place that others would want to be.
