Beside the Blue Foundation

Everyday officers risk their lives and make sacrifices to protect the community. On average, more than ten officers per year in the state of California give their lives in the process while hundreds more suffer from on duty great bodily harm injuries as well as face thousands of dollars in off duty related medical expenses. When a law enforcement officer is injured, murdered or otherwise affected by a catastrophic event it is not only the officer and family that suffers, it is also the communities to which these families are dedicated. Beside the Blue was founded by a handful of law enforcement officers and their loved ones because we were heartbroken watching friends and coworkers struggle in times of hardship when they make daily sacrifices to protect the community. Beside the Blue is a non-profit foundation committed to helping our local heroes and their families in times of hardship. Beside the Blue Foundation will make every effort to assist California's Law Enforcement Families during tragic times in their lives caused by illness, injury or death of the Officer, spouse or dependent. We want to make sure that every officer has a place to turn for help in times where illness, injury or death cause a financial hardship. Beside the Blue Foundation is committed to providing much needed financial assistance to California’s law enforcement officers and their families. This financial assistance will allow the families to focus on healing and help avoid falling into poverty as well as allow the community to give back to their local heroes. Beside the Blue Foundation will be there when your local heroes need help.
