CityMusic Cleveland is a professional chamber orchestra offering well-balanced and innovative programs of classical and contemporary music. The orchestra advocates for classical music performing in underserved and unengaged communities of Northeast Ohio. Through its free performances in area churches and civic centers, CityMusic eliminates the twin barriers of high ticket prices and unfamiliar venues. By developing relationships and partnering with mayors, council members, neighborhood leaders, churches, and civic organizations to build community solidarity and fiscal support for its programs, CityMusic engenders a sense of community pride and ownership in its performances, while fulfilling its goal of reaching new and diverse audiences for classical music.
