Kennedy to mobilize the nations private bar to support the civil rights movement. Today, we continue to lead efforts to protect and expand civil rights across the country and secure equal justice for all through the rule of law, targeting in particular the inequities confronting Black people and other people of color. The Lawyers Committee is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization, and we envision a nation where everyone has the voice, opportunity, and power to make the promises of our democracy real.
