The Besser Museum welcomed 114 Fifth Graders from Cheboygan Schools on Tuesday. They explored the new Northeast Michigan History Exhibit, experienced the Planetarium, learned about the Great Lakes Fishing Industry and local fish species, viewed art in the gallery, dug for fossils in the limestone, and ate lunch while viewing the historic buildings on the grounds. 🌟 A first for the Besser Museum! 🌟 Leo Maiolo—Morning Show Host at 105.7 The Bird and licensed drone operator—recently took to the skies to capture stunning footage of Joe Donna's exhibit, currently on display at the Besser Museum through July 19th. This aerial perspective is part of Joe’s entry application for the prestigious Grand Rapids Art Prize competition. Joe has dedicated his life to shaping artistic minds, having taught at Kirtland Community College for 27 years. Today, he continues to inspire as an adjunct faculty member at Alpena Community College—where he’s been sharing his expertise for the past 36 years—and as the Artist in Residence at the Industrial Arts Institute in Onaway, MI.
