Oh what a pleasure & an honor it was to have Senator Matthew Deneen come to sit and talk with us again. He is always a kind & gentle presence…like chatting with a neighbor. We truly appreciate him taking the time to share his thoughts as well as to listen to our concerns about the potential threat to federal funding of our program and all of our sister DV shelter programs all over the state. Marion, Washington, and Larue County Advocate Sara Giles out and about in the Marion County Community this week! First on Thursday at the Marion County Judicial Center as a guest speaker during the Truth and Consequences event with MCHS 9th graders, providing education on teen dating violence. Then, on Friday, at the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Marion County Event Center and Sportsplex as a partner in the community resource fair. (fb)
