Pro Ecclesia is a peer-reviewed journal of theology published by the Center for Catholic and Evangelical Theology. The Center also sponsors an annual theological conference. THE CENTER FOR CATHOLIC AND EVANGELICAL THEOLOGY IS AN ECUMENICAL ORGANIZATION THAT SEEKS TO CULTIVATE FAITHFULNESS TO THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST THROUGHOUT THE CHURCHES. THE CENTER NURTURES THEOLOGY THAT IS CATHOLIC AND EVANGELICAL, OBEDIENT TO HOLY SCRIPTURE AND COMMITTED TO THE DOGMATIC, LITURGICAL, ETHICAL AND INSTITUTIONAL CONTINUITY OF THE CHURCH.THE CENTER CHALLENGES THE CHURCHES TO CLAIM THEIR IDENTITY AS MEMBERS OF THE ONE, HOLY, CATHOLIC AND APOSTOLIC CHURCH. IT AFFIRMS THE GREAT TRADITION AND SEEKS TO STIMULATE FRESH THINKING AND PASSION FOR MISSION. TO ACHIEVE THIS GOAL THE CENTER SPONSORS PROJECTS, CONFERENCES AND PUBLICATIONS.

Pro-Ecclesia Christ Taking Leave of the Apostles 130811 Duccio Di Buoninsegna The Center for Catholic and Evangelical Theology is a theological enterprise of Catholic Protestant and Orthodox Christians whose goal is to promote faithfulness throughout the Church to the Word of God in Jesus Christ. It seeks to advance the knowledge of Gods revelation as authoritatively mediated by Holy Scripture and normatively interpreted by the churchs credal and dogmatic tradition. Without avoiding the difficult issues that divide us it seeks ways in which our traditions East and West Reformation and Catholic North and South might enrich one another in pursuit of Christian unity. CCET pursues its goal through ecumenical research and conversation principally at present through its scholarly journal Pro Ecclesia and through the Pro Ecclesia Conferences for clergy and laity.
