This kitten is one of 4 born to a feral mom cat - one of the many Siamese and Siamese mixes on one block of 2nd St in Berkeley. The mom cat is a sister, or half sister of the Siamese cat we have been posting about, which we had to pull off the street with her two kittens recently. In order to get these kittens into a safe situation we had to trap the mom cat (who could not be handled by people), by using the kittens as 'bait', placing them in a crate attached to a humane trap. As soon as the kittens started crying, the mom, who could not access the kittens any other way, walked into the trap and the door closed behind her. We moved them to a foster home, but within a week, the mom cat was frantically trying to get outdoors. So we got a spay appointment quickly, and a few days after surgery, she was returned to the business where she gave birth and which has committed to feeding her. They have a large outdoor area where the cats - all of whom are fixed now - hang out. The kittens are doing great and available for adoption.
