Historical financial data shows that program services constitute a significant portion of its total revenue, with minimal contributions from other sources like investment income. The organization maintains a modest financial profile, with total assets reported in previous years. Donations to ITODA are not tax-deductible due to its 501(c)(6) designation.

Governance and Leadership

While these individuals are not typically compensated directly by the organization, management companies provide essential services to support ITODA's operations. This indicates a governance model that relies on external management resources to handle administrative tasks.

Industry Context

ITODA operates within a broader network of organizations focused on the turf and ornamental sectors. Other relevant associations and initiatives in these fields include advocacy for sustainable turf practices, promotion of natural grass benefits, and support for industry-specific research and development. ITODA's role complements these efforts by enhancing business operations and professional development within independently owned companies.

In summary, the Independent Turf & Ornamental Distributors Association Inc. plays a crucial role in promoting business excellence and environmental stewardship among small, independent businesses in the turf and ornamental landscaping industries.
