The Presbyterian Community Center (PCC), founded in 1898, served as the neighborhood center for Smoketown, Shelby Park, Phoenix Hill and surrounding areas. PCC was known for its work throughout the community as a leader in community engagement. Lack of funding caused the board to terminate employees, close the center, and sell the facility to satifsy creditors.
