We believe that education is the most powerful tool to build peace and to break the cycle of war. We also believe that every child, regardless of circumstance, should have access to a quality education.Justice Rising builds peace in war-affected communities by providing quality education to children at risk. We build schools, train teacher leaders, and develop community programs towards the goal of promoting peace and mitigating future conflict.

CRISIS UPDATE M23 REBELS SEIZE THE CITY OF GOMA The M23 rebel group has taken control of Goma forcing hundreds of thousands of families to flee their homes. Children are now facing unimaginable challengesdisplaced unsafe and without access to education. The rebels have cut the citys water and electricity and food prices are rising. While some have managed to evacuate many of the 500 teachers and 27000 students we serve are still trapped in IDP camps or remain in rebeloccupied Goma.
