Carroll Mansion

The Edgar Allan Poe House & Museum open at 203 N. Amity Street. Dedicated to preserving the legacy of Edgar Allan Poe in the City of Baltimore. Baltimore's Edgar Allan Poe House (Nat'l Historic Landmark) is open to visitors Thurs thru Sundays. Carroll Museums, Inc. was created in 2002 to restore and revitalize the Carroll Mansion and Phoenix Shot Tower, two of Baltimore most storied landmarks.

Mansion Tower Tours Weekends Only Welcome to Carroll Mansion in partnership with Poe Baltimore In preparation for the United States Semiquincentennial in 2026 America 250 Poe Baltimore has partnered with Carroll Museums on a series of exhibits sharing Baltimores unique history. Explore 200 years of history at the home of the last living signer of the Declaration of Independence discover the mysterious circumstances of Edgar Allan Poes death in Baltimore in 1849 and experience one of three remaining shot towers in the United States. Guided tours are available on Saturday and Sundays between 10AM 4PM. The last tour begins at 3pm.
