Liz E.'s Pekingese Rescue and Sanctuary's principal activity is to lessen the burden of overpopulation of dogs in city and county animal shelters and from stray populations in cities and counties; and from being euthanized due to overcrowded shelters, advanced age or owner surrender. Liz E.'s Pekingese Rescue and Sanctuary's welfare activities are 1) to rescue, protect, care for, and endeavor to re-home Pekingese dogs that have been abandoned or voluntarily surrendered and 2) to educate the public with regard to responsible stewardship of the Pekingese breed and other dogs.
