The Martha Mason Hill Memorial Foundation was created to carry on the legacy and spirit of the late Martha Mason Hill by providing academic scholarships to outstanding high school students, and through our sponsorship of community outreach programs. MISSION - to carry on the legacy and spirit of the late Martha Mason Hill by providing academic scholarships to underrepresented ethnic minority graduating high school students in Chesterfield Cty, VA; and conducting outreach projects and supporting community programs that promote academic success, create college awareness and encourage students to attend college. Mrs. Hill's family hopes to continue her legacy in perpetuity through the MMHMF Endowment Fund. Pre-K - 12 schools with high percentages of low income students are supported, and college students are sent annual care packages. Mrs. Hill knew the value of education and thus helped her 7 children and 2 grandchildren whom she raised get a college education at VA State University where she worked in housekeeping for 40 years.
