Despite a rainy start to May, the Garden has been bursting with energy and inspiration! Earlier this month, a group of young poets joined Tompkins County Poet Laureate Dan Rosenberg and a group of nature-loving writers from Cornell and beyond for a poetic journey through the Garden. The children explored the outdoors, turning their observations into powerful, playful poetry. That same day, during the Love Ithaca volunteer event, more than two dozen community members rolled up their sleeves to spread mulch, rake pathways, and refresh the Garden’s gathering spaces with care. Thanks to all the fantastic volunteers and organizer Chuck Tompkins for bringing it all together! Thank you all for bringing so much heart to the Garden this month — rain or shine! (fb)
