SF Bay Area Schweitzer Fellowship Project by 201314 Fellow Alison Starling UCSF NurseMidwifery Program Allison collaborated with the African Advocacy Network of the Bay Area and the Ethiopian Nurses Association of California to promote health and provide resources to recent African immigrants and refugees in the Bay Area. Project by 200708 Fellow Mai Dinh UCSF School of Dentistry Mai created a communitycampus partnership to provide oral health education at Camp Mendocino where children learned about brushing flossing nutrition and the importance of their teeth to their overall health. Project by 201112 Fellow Jennifer Tran Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine Jennifer partnered with the Asian American Donor Program to target high school seniors in the Bay Area by creating an 18th birthday gift for these students which included a cheek swab kit. 200 students registered to be donors on their 18th birthdays.
